OASAR Membership Benefits

The Ontario Association of Students at Risk (OASAR) is a non-profit association that supports the education for at risk youth in Ontario. With over 400 members, the association keeps strong ties with communities, schools boards and agencies who work with at risk youth (students). Many of our sponsors and members are school boards, teachers, counsellors, therapists, probation and parole officers, child and youth workers and law enforcement officers. OASAR’s mission statement is to provide leadership, advocacy and education for all students in all risk categories in the Province of Ontario. OASAR’s objectives are to provide advocacy for at risk youth, improve programming, provide a forum of communication and address needs and interests of at risk youth. OASAR is committed to providing, research, news, resources and professional development opportunities to members. As of January, 2009, OASAR revealed its new website. This interactive website allows parties to register as members, sign up for conferences, access newsletters, join discussion boards (coming soon!), find out about PD opportunities and make professional connections in the field.
